True Purpose!

Isaiah 61:1 (NIV2011)
¹ The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

This particular passage, describes the purpose of the Messiah that was to come. The Messiah would come to bring good news to the people of Israel and to free them from their imprisonment from the sins of this world. Today, Christ purpose has never changed. He remained the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The amazing thing is that he gives us opportunity to partake in his mission in order to add more people to his kingdom.

Lord, may your glory be revealed through us today. Thank you for sticking up for us, when Satan tries to scheme against us. Amen.
